" The only place where your dream becomes impossible is your thinking...."
The eternal dilemma
To be or not to be, to pursue the dream or go back to sleep, to stand out and be ridiculed or hide among the flock. These are a few of the eternal dilemmas faced by every bloke trying to make his mark with an idea, a product, or a venture. Is this good enough? Is it worth investing time, effort, and energy? Will this solve a real-world problem? Does this have the potential to scale up? Who am I going to pitch this to? Do I have the charisma, eloquence, or flair of a visionary leader?
Insecurities, self-condescending thoughts, and doubts cloud our minds and judgments. Many business ventures and career trajectories die a premature death in the mind at this stage. I for one decided early that I am not going to shy away from taking the road less traveled. Not that I have achieved something substantial in life yet or have solved a real-world problem that needed an address but somewhere deep down I feel content with the choices I have made so far.
