Facial Recognition Based Registration

At the Flagship event of a leading technology giant, I proposed a facial recognition based registration process that simplified the customer experience and more importantly brought the solution showcase of the brand to life.


The insight

Registrations can be a tiresome cumbersome process at events with an average wait time of 5-10 minutes. As the first touchpoint for any event, this needed to be as seamless as possible, especially when you have an attendee rate of more than 1000+ C-suite leaders and developers. We believed that we could re-imagine this experience.


Why?

The brand was known to have deployed facial recognition solutions for their customers in banking and insurance industry. We felt that a showcase of this using the Facial recognition solution can create a strong resonance and recall with their potential customers.


The Process


  • Smart check-in kiosks helped attendees skip the registration queue and have a seamless check-in experience powered by AI.

  • This innovation not only made the registration process easy, but was the first step towards helping us capture data during the course of the event.

  • The picture taken during facial recognition allowed us to track an attendee’s journey at the event.
